Klára Ešnerová

Dancer / Choreographer / Teacher

Klára Ešnerová (Czech republic, 1993) is a freelance artist. For five years she has been based in Belgium (Antwerp). Currently, is Klara based in Czech republic, but still collaborating on projects in both countries. She is a co-founder of The backyard collective based in Antwerp and also choreographer of their last production called Xposure. At the moment she is working as a performer, choreographer and production for Manus Art collective in Prague. Touring as a performer with a project called "The Urge" created by Ceren Oran&Moving borders in Czech republic.

Klára graduated from the Duncan Centre Conservatory in Prague. She then went to study in multiple schools around the world like the Escola Superior de Dance in Lisboa, BCDA Hungary and the Acadamy of Performing Arts in Prague. Eventually she graduated in 2018 at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp. She is working now as a freelance dancer, teacher and choreographer. She worked as a performer for choreographers as Saju Hari, Micha Purucker, Lenka Flory, Tuur Marinus and more. During studies she performed in pieces of Jos Baker, Anton Lachky, Agostina D¨'alessandro.

Klára is an experimental artist and creator collaborating on projects with artists from a wide range of disciplines (audiovisual arts, musicians, actors). Her artistic styles draws upon different styles of dance such as contemporary dance, street dance and folk dance. In her artistic works you can find combination of her various dance background as well as combination of her music. 

Klára's last solo choreographies are "En-trance" and "Por vento".
